After graduating with a business degree in economics from the University of Ottawa, I began a career as a Financial Planner with Canada Life. Over the years I have gained management experience with companies such as Manulife and Sunlife. With the many changes in that industry, I have found myself back in Caledonia where I have established my business. Currently I am helping individuals and businesses set financial goals, budget and establish a plan that can be followed to financial success.
I am very fortunate to work in the same neighborhood that I live in. With my wife Deb and my 3 children, Gillian, Madison, and Joshua, we continue to enjoy the many things that being a part of a small community offers. As when I was young, our kids are benefitting from the many sports that are offered in the county and continue to push themselves to be better athletes. I am encouraged by the many opportunities for our kids that continue to develop in this county.
Over the 30 years that I have lived in Haldimand I have cultivated many lasting relationships and have created life long experiences that are part of some great memories. Much of what I am today is largely based on my family, whose roots go back many generations within this county, and the good people that I was lucky enough to call friends. These friendships date back to high school in Caledonia and Cayuga, playing baseball in Caledonia and Dunnville, as well as playing for the Corvairs and the Mudcats. These opportunities allowed me to establish some strong relationships across the county.
As a long time resident, I know the strengths, opportunities and unfortunately, the struggles of Haldimand County. As your Mayor, I will work hard so that everyone will benefit from all this County has to offer, while eliminating the things that stand in the way.
