Canada 150 Community Infrastructure Projects

Haldimand County has been awarded $417,582.00 in funding for six infrastructure rehabilitation projects through the Canada 150 Community Infrastructure Program (CIP 150).

The Federal Government has committed $150 million through this grant program and is investing in projects that renovate, expand and improve existing public infrastructure assets as part of the government's approach to celebrating the 150th anniversary of Canada's confederation.

CIP 150 funding will provide Haldimand County with an opportunity to complete and expedite capital projects scheduled across its communities. The approved projects include: upgrades and renovations to the Cayuga Kinsmen Community Centre, Fisherville Community Centre, Hagersville Arena, Haldimand County Library (Jarvis Branch), Edinburgh Square Heritage & Cultural Centre and phase two of the Chippewa Trail. In total, the six projects will total just over 1.3 million dollars ($1,318,300) with $417,582 in CIP 150 funding.

As work is completed, updates will be posted on this page and the County's Facebook and Twitter accounts.
