Recycle Your Electronics

Electronic waste can be recycled at one of Haldimand County's Electronics Recycling Depots, free of charge!  Depots are located at:

  • Canborough Waste Management Facility, 499 James Road, Dunnville.  Open Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m to 4:15 p.m., Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

A portion of money raised from electronics recycling goes to local charities!  For a full list of accepted electronics, see Page 4 in the Waste & Recycling Guide.

You can reduce your curbside waste by 30% and divert waste from the landfill by composting your fruit, vegetable, plant trimmings and dead plants.  Not only is this good for the environment but it will save you money too.  Rather than purchase compost, simply open up your composter and take out what you need!  The process of composting can take anywhere from 3 to 18 months, depending on how well the compost pile is maintained. Composters can be purchased for $29.00 at the Canborough Waste Management Facility or at the Haldimand County offices in Caledonia, Dunnville and Hagersville.  See Page 10 of the Waste & Recycling Guide for tips on how to get started!
