Policing in Haldimand County is carried out by the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP). The main detachment office is located in Cayuga. Sub-offices are in Caledonia and Dunnville, with community offices in Hagersville and Jarvis. The OPP are committed to keeping Haldimand County protected and safe.
Community Policing Committees are also active in Cayuga, Dunnville, Jarvis and Townsend. Several volunteers take part in promoting crime prevention and public safety, all in partnership with the County and the OPP.
