History:
The original dwelling has remained mostly unaltered for approximately 100 years. The two-storey porch was closed in for additional rooms in 1918. In 1981 a committee to save the Lalor Estate was successful in preserving the home from severe alteration and destruction at that time.

Features Designated:

  • The entire grounds consisting of nearly one acre are to remain bound to the current structure, never to be severed for development or personal gain
  • The wrap-around porch with the fluted columns
  • All exterior corbels
  • The seven fireplaces
  • The leaded glass double entry and vestibule
  • All interior ceiling moldings
  • The front main stairway and banister
  • The wooden archway and pillars at the front of the second floor hallway
  • The birds-eye maple trim and veneer in the front bedroom
  • The wood paneled walls of the formal dining room
